What financial support is needed:
We require €25,000 for the support of the children at our school on the
Benedictine monastery grounds.
For our new project, we require a total of approx. €65,000 to cover The building, re-structuring, electricity, water, food and school costs. This incorporates a total of 6 small villages each with approximately 45 families. Once all is in place, we would estimate €12,000 per annum for food and school/craft training activities and any further need that may arise.

Administration costs
Are kept to the absolute minimum. There are currently 3 committee members In Ireland and two in India. All give their services voluntarily. We have a solicitor and accountant in Bandon, Co. Cork who take care of all legal matters and accounts.

How can Companies help?
We provide a hot mid-day meal for the entire school daily and protein biscuits in the morning time for the children in créche/nursery - this amounts to approx €14,000 per annum. If any company wished to sponsor this expense or part pay, it would be greatly appreciated.

Sponsor a child
For just €100 per annum (the price of just a good night out) you can sponsor a child and make him.her your own special person. This can be paid up front or half twice yearly. This money will go towards his/her total upkeep (food, education school uniforms if parent is too poor, medical and vaccinations) You will receive a photograph of your sponsored child and full details of his/her family circumstances.

How can you help?
We would be most grateful and delighted if you could organise a fundraiser on our behalf – a coffee morning, a sponsored walk in your area, a bar b q or in fact anything you can think of that will raise the much needed money. New active committee members would be most welcome.

How can schools help?
Schools can help by organising fundraisers or by sponsoring a little child per class – of their own age group. Older children can begin corresponding and exchanging news.

Volunteer workers:
We cannot offer places as volunteer workers as the school is fully staffed with Indian Teachers (most of the children do not speak English).
