Hands of Hope helps local Church's help people in need by providing organizational assistance and training in disaster response and community transformational ministries. We also connect volunteers and resources to areas of need, including church and parsonage renovation.

Founded in 2006 out of the Free Methodist response to Hurricane Katrina, Hands of Hope has helped survivors of Hurricane Katrina, the 2009 Atlanta Floods, 2010 Nashville Floods and the 2011 Tornadoes in Pleasant Grove, AL, Spalding County, GA and Waynesville, NC.

Our network of associations includes the Free Methodist Bishops Crisis Response Fund, as well as regional divisions of the United Methodist Committee on Relief, Salvation Army, Samaritans Purse, Mennonite Disaster Services, the Rotary Club and Storm Aid.
